The Living Room Project is an accessible healing justice practice/community space for queer and trans people of color (qtpoc) and our allies.

Through resource sharing, and collaborative efforts, the space provides opportunities for creative expression, collective healing, and community building. Ultimately the Living Room Project hopes to inspire deeper relationship, interdependence, and care amongst qtpoc communities.

The Living Room Project Offers *:

- practice space for healers/practitioners/coaches

- community event and workshop/class space

- healing/wellness days

- community events classes and workshops

The Living Room Project was founded by micah aka hobbes, a black queer boi healer, doula/birthkeeper, facilitator/trainer, dj, and magic maker, living, loving, and laughing in Oakland, CA. He deeply believes that personal healing must always be connected to collective liberation.

Micah is a skilled somatic bodyworker, and one of few queer, gender non-conforming doulas of color, working to create safe space for qtpoc families to birth in ways that are healing, resilient, and loving. He also builds resilience and community by sharing his love of music and good beats as a dj (dj trinity).

Micah's intention is to keep the space completely community/self supported, and not rely on grants. He wants the space to be interdependent with the communities it's a part of, not reliant on foundations that so often gets in the way of the work we want to do or the way we want to do it.
